GREEN ENERGY PRODUCTION CONTINUES IN AWARDED INVESTMENT GREENECO

 

Support for Turkey's 2023 vision with Greeneco geothermal power plant… Focusing on meeting our country's energy deficit with a more livable world goal, Greeneco Energy started renewable energy production in 2016.

 

 Kamil Özdağ, Greeneco Energy Vice Chairman of the Management Board, said ""According to the plans of our country for year 2023, it is aimed to supply at least 30 percent of electricity from renewable sources. Our goal as Greeneco Energy is to produce ""Green” energy that is sustainable, economical, clean, beneficial for humanity, respectful to the environment, and contributing to the realization of our country's 2023 targets with domestic and renewable energy sources.”

Greeneco Energy Electricity Generation Inc., which was found with the partnership of Saray Holding and Acarsan Holding in 2012, aims to be the solution to the growing energy needs of Turkey with its 110 million-dolar project investment on the area of 2250 m ² in the region of Denizli – Sarayköy – Tekke. Greeneco has officially started generating geothermal energy by March 2016 after completing the installations of the power plant and test generations. 

Without any need of input, Greeneco Energy that can generate electricity with ecological, domestic and renewable sources contributes to Turkey’s energy generation targets with the power plant that has started generation. The plant is also a geothermal power plant that allows domestic turbines to be produced in our country and also uses the first domestic turbine at the same time. Greeneco emphasizes that Denizli - Sarayköy - Tekke geothermal project aims to produce sustainable, economical, clean, beneficial, respectful, and environmentally friendly ""Green” energy with domestic and renewable energy sources, and it plans to reach 60 MWe in total. With the completion of the second stage investment in 2019, it is planned to reach an investment value of 240 million USD and reach annual production capacity of 540.000.000 KWh with an installed power of 60 MWe. Greeneco was awarded with the biggest new investment of the year at the ""Actors of the Denizli Economy"" Awards with its investments.

The main consultants of the Greeneco geothermal power plant project are; Hacettepe University, Middle East Technical University, GeologicaI Inc. California USA and the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration.
